Please meet our team
As a counselling psychologist, registered with both HCPC and BPS, and Senior Lecturer in Counselling Psychology at London Metropolitan University, I use an integrative approach, resulting from years of practice, including within the NHS. I have extensive experience working within Cognitive Behavioral approaches (CBT), Schema-therapy (SFT), Person-centred, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance & Commitment therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness.
My mission to always deliver a warm and compassionate approach, I look at each client’s unique subjective needs to devise a collaborative plan towards empowerment and growth. This is always based upon the unique needs of the client. I tailor my practice to the specific individual, using CBT techniques, including imagery and mindfulness exercises and when appropriate the recording of ad-hoc audio resources.
I maintain an honest and non-judgmental stance and I am convinced that any psychological issue as the normal consequence of difficult life circumstances. In order words, had I been through what my clients have, I believe I would feel just the same. I strongly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship as an invaluable platform and engine for change. This can be a safe and confidential training ground where to experiment new ways of thinking, communicating and acting, ultimately leading to a more satisfying and fulfilling existence.
