They are registered with several professional bodies, including the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the British Psychological Society (BPS), as well as, BACP, UKCP and BABCP. Please meet our team
I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist with a doctorate and over 18 years’ experience served in the NHS.
In my psychology career, I have worked with a wide range of presenting problems and people of different backgrounds and beliefs. I have extensive experience of working psychologically with mental and physical health problems. Issues frequently arising from these difficulties have included stress, work, relationship and communication problems, addictions, struggles with food, cognitive and physical challenges, self-esteem and body image.
I understand that every individual’s personality and life experience are unique. I am warm and friendly and will provide a safe and supportive space in which to explore your difficulties, develop a better understanding of yourself and how to achieve greater well-being.
My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). This evidence-based framework and associated interventions are ideally suited to helping clients identify present-day goals and work towards them by modifying unhelpful thinking and behaviour.
However, some challenges and personalities benefit from different approaches. My qualification and experience enable me to work with different therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment and Narrative therapies. These can be especially beneficial in helping individuals to come to terms with difficulties in their past, as well as uncertainties in their future.
You may have reached a point in your life where you feel that you lack control and confidence in your present and future life. Illness, injury, ageing, bereavement, job losses, relationship changes.. common life events such as these can shake our certainty, our sense of who we are and what we can achieve.
In a time of heightened anxiety, looking towards ‘the new normal’, I can help you to make a positive adjustment, find inner calm and future fulfilment.
Please note that I work via video call only and am unable to offer face to face appointments.
