Get to know us - Imogen Healy
At our practice in Oxford Circus (W1W), all of our therapists are qualified psychologists, psychotherapists or counsellors. They are registered with several professional bodies, including the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the British Psychological Society (BPS), as well as, BACP, UKCP and BABCP. They use CBT (Cognitive behavioral therapy), psychodynamic, humanistic and integrative approaches, tailored around your needs to help you deal with your challenges and reach your goals.

You might be feeling lost and wanting change but are not quite sure how to get there. I work holistically with a range of difficulties such as general and/or social anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, a history of unresolved trauma and relationship difficulties. Through building a good therapeutic relationship, I aim to walk alongside you to explore your situation in more depth and the choices you have about how to move forward. I also offer Christian counselling to people who would appreciate integrating their faith/spirituality into therapy. As a Christian, I work with people from all faiths and backgrounds, and from none.
I have worked in the mental health field for over 6 years, including holding various roles within the NHS and charities. I see counselling as an inner journey of healing and change. I also believe this type of healing is a process, often happening over a period of time, sometimes in both subtle and overt ways.
From my own personal experiences of therapy and healing from past traumas, it is often less about “doing” something but more about being gently attentive to, and curious about, our own inner promptings that might be nudging us in a particular direction. However things are for you right now, I know that change is possible and I look forward to meeting you!
