At our practice in Oxford Circus (W1W), all of our therapists are qualified psychologists, psychotherapists or counsellors. They are registered with several professional bodies, including the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the British Psychological Society (BPS), as well as, BACP, UKCP and BABCP. They use CBT (Cognitive behavioral therapy), psychodynamic, humanistic and integrative approaches, tailored around your needs to help you deal with your challenges and reach your goals.
Please meet our team
I am a qualified and HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist with experience in both the NHS and private practice.
I believe that for most people, therapy works best when there is both warmth and challenge in sessions. I hope to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore, understand and gain acceptance for those hidden, difficult, and more shameful or frightening parts of yourself, but also to give you an opportunity to discover different ways of viewing yourself, your relationships and your world. I hope that through this work you will be able to understand and accept yourself more fully, and so feel confident to make choices that leave you feeling good and fulfilled. Above all, I believe that therapy is a place to remember that how you feel is important and needs to be thought about.
My approach is integrative, drawing on training and experience in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Person Centred Therapy, Mentalisation Based Treatment and CBT. In practice, this means that we will start by spending time thinking together about what brought you to therapy and which approach might be most helpful to you in this moment. For example, we might start by focussing more broadly on your early relationships and experiences and how they are impacting you, or you may have something more specific in mind, based on the here and now.
I work with adults with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, emotion regulation difficulties, relational difficulties, Personality Disorder type difficulties, narcissism, the perinatal period (the period before and after having a baby) and parent-infant psychotherapy, OCD, the impact of childhood trauma and abuse on relationships and identity, as well as autism and ADHD.
