Please meet our team
Many people tend to suffer from anxiety, tension and anguish for too long before reaching out for help. It takes courage to enter into therapy, and it takes courage to confront our difficulties.
I offer clients a calm and confidential environment within which they can deal with any issues they are experiencing with the professionalism that they deserve. I strive to create an accepting and non-judgmental environment that can allow for recovery and self-knowledge, and I feel privileged to be trusted with other people’s life stories in my vocation as a clinician.
I am an HCPC-registered and BPS-chartered clinical psychologist. I completed my MSc and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the universities of Leiden, in Holland, and Roehampton, in London. I have practised as a clinician in a range of centres and charities in and beyond Europe, and I continue to be involved in academic teaching and research. Having lectured at the University of Roehampton, in London, I am currently an Honorary Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Liverpool, and I am involved in national and international scientific studies.
I am experienced working with a wide range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, depression, existential crises, cultural issues and low self-esteem. I have an integrative approach to my work, tailoring psychotherapy to the person’s situation, aims and preferences. I am experienced and trained in several modalities, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
