Please meet our team
Each of us will experience the world from the particular and unique position in which our experiential, relational, and socio-cultural situation has placed us. Sometimes we cannot choose the circumstances of our life, but we are free to choose our response to them, and it is this response that defines each of us.
I have experience working with young adults and adults experiencing Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Divorce, Emotional Distress, Grief, Loss, Relationship difficulties, Self-esteem, Stress, Trauma.
As a therapist, I am deeply influenced by the core conditions of congruence, empathy and unconditional positive regard towards my clients and in my therapeutic relationship. I believe that my role as a therapist is to create a safe, supportive, non-judgemental space where you are able to talk about and express your feelings, thoughts and your unique experiences in living. I believe that such a space allows you to explore your life and experiences within the therapeutic relationship.
My training in existential thinking allows me to work with existential concerns of anxiety, isolation, loneliness, freedom, responsibility, and meaning/meaninglessness that we experience within our lives. As an important part of the Existential therapeutic process, my role is to clarify whatever you bring to the therapeutic session. The session provides the space in which you talk and freely express your feelings, thoughts, and experiences in your living. My approach to therapy is an exploration of whatever is experienced by you and the manner of your experience.
Further, I draw upon different therapeutic models and work integratively to support the journey of your unique living experience and in this process clarify your values, beliefs, and your inner resources. I am here to listen as carefully and unselectively as possible. As we explore your inner world together – reflecting on and clarifying your situation – new ways of living and relating to the world around emerge, creating new possibilities.
